I found the basis of the article to be simply wrong: the recent Supreme Court decision has nothing to do with Trump’s border policy; it only affirms his divisive travel ban towards mostly Muslim countries. It is a bit simplistic if not outright ingenuous for the author to venture off on this false premise of border wall to praise Trump’s immigration policy in general, his border policy in particular.

What immigration policy? Does Trump have one? I am no immigration expert either but I do remember Trump’s initial claim to fame was "we are going to build this beautiful wall and Mexico is going to pay for it”; that, by the way, has now morphed into his lament about Congress’ refusal to fund the wall! For those who follow US politics closely, Trump’s border wall is just a catchy wedge issue to shore up his political base.

To cite a few examples of how simplistic this is:

What about tunnels? What about the hundreds of miles along the remote mountainous ranges along the Texas border? How does the border wall solve the other perils of current immigration policies even mentioned by the author himself on the 5th para of his article? What about those already reside in the US? Why are only illegal immigrants workers being caught and deported but nothing happens to the businesses that employ them in the first place? On & on!

There is nothing to praise about his immigration policy so far!
